Bonda Mani, a prominent Tamil actor and comedian, passed away at the age of 60 due to complications related to kidney disease. His demise has left a void in the Tamil entertainment industry.

Born on 19 September 1963 in the Mannar District, Sri Lanka, Bonda Mani's real name was Kedhiswaran. He made his acting debut with the film Pavunnu Pavunuthan released in 1991. Bonds were a famous comedian in the Tamil film industry. At 60, Bonda Mani acted in countless Tamil films with leading actors. Apart from acting, he was also associated with the state politics.

Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "Tamil cinema’s popular comedian Bonda Mani (60) passed away due to ill health. the India Today report said Bonda Mani's body is being kept at his residence in Pozhichalur for homage and his final rites will take place at around 5pm at a crematorium in Chrompet. He is survived by his wife Malathi, a son, and a daughter.

According to the report, both of the actor's kidneys were damaged and Bonda Mani has been undergoing treatment since 2022. Seeing his critical condition, actors Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi also came forward to help. Both of them had given financial help of Rs 1 lakh each. According to reports, on Saturday evening, he suddenly fainted at his residence in Chennai. After this, he was rushed to the government hospital in Chromepet but was declared dead.

Bonda Mani has acted in 270 films for almost three decades taking up several comical roles, as per a report by DT Next. He had been a regular in comedy tracks. He was introduced in Bhagyaraj's Pavunnu, and he went on to act in several films such as Ponvilangu, Pongalo Pongal, Sundara Travels, Marudamalai, Winner, Velayudham.
