‘Dinesh Phadnis, a famous actor from the TV show CID, died at age 57.

If Dinesh Phadnis, the actor from the TV show CID, has indeed passed away at age 57, it would undoubtedly be a significant loss for the entertainment industry and his fans. Dinesh Phadnis was well-known for his role as Senior Inspector Fredricks in CID, a popular Indian detective television series.

According to reports, Dinesh Phadnis took his last breath at 12:08 am on December 5 in Mumbai's Tunga Hospital and was suffering from multiple organ failure. He was removed from the ventilator the previous night.

Earlier last week, there were reports that Dinesh had suffered a heart attack. Dayanand Shetty had cleared the rumors and said that Dinesh was suffering from liver damage, not heart attack.

Dinesh was part of the long-running TV show CID, which aired in 1998 and ran for twenty years on SONY TV. He also appeared on the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and played supporting roles in movies like Super 30 and Sarfarosh.

Dinesh had said in an interview, “I remember I was struggling for roles and wherever I went to seek work, I met B P Singh (producer of CID). I am not aware if it was sheer luck or coincidence. Finally, he asked me if I wanted to join CID and that's how my journey began.

The last episode of "CID" aired in October 2018 and lead actor Shivaji Satam had expressed disappointment at its abrupt end. "It is like someone has cut off an organ from our body," Satam said to Mumbai Mirror.

If Dinesh Phadnis has indeed passed away, his death would mark the end of an era in the Indian television industry. Fans and the entertainment community would likely remember him fondly for his contributions to CID and the impact he had on the hearts of viewers.
