The day began with both teams striving to gain an advantage in the game, and all eyes were on Virat Kohli, the Indian captain renowned for his exceptional batting skills. Kohli, determined and focused, stepped onto the field with the responsibility of leading India to a commanding position.

Kohli is scoring boundaries and keeping the momentum in favor of India. KL Rahul has joined him at the crease as India looks to end the day on a dominating note, after losing four wickets. On the other hand, South Africa is looking to take more wickets to make a comeback in the game and put pressure on the Indian batters.

Earlier in the day, Mohammed Siraj took six wickets as India bowled out South Africa for only 55 runs on the first day of the second Test in Cape Town. South Africa chose to bat first but lost wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also took two wickets each.

With the two-match series at stake, Rohit's Team India made two changes to their playing XI for the 2nd Test against South Africa. Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja returned to the Test setup in the ongoing edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), replacing senior all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin in the series decider. All-rounder Shardul Thakur made way for pacer Mukesh Kumar.

Playing his final Test for the Rainbow nation, senior batter Dean Elgar won the toss, and hosts South Africa posted just 55 runs in the Cape Town decider. In the previous over of Kagiso Rabada, Virat Kohli hit a six and a boundary, scoring 10 runs. With this, Kohli went past the 35-run mark and inched closer towards his half-century. It will be his 31st half-century in the longest format of the game.

Virat Kohli is dealing with boundaries and keeping the momentum towards the Indian side. In the previous over of Marco Jansen, he smashed a boundary as the pacer conceded five runs. India is in a comfortable position, but one more wicket can change the momentum of the game.

The Indian bowlers were outstanding and restricted South Africa to 55 runs. Now, the onus is on the batters to bat well and score big, making it difficult for South Africa to get back in the game. On the other hand, the host would be hoping that their bowlers get it right from the first ball.

When he won the toss, Dean Elgar would not have been hoping that his team would be bowling again after lunch. This has been sheer brilliance from Siraj, and the other bowlers have supported him nicely. A special mention goes to Rohit, who has put innovative fields from the first over, which paid off. The bowlers did their job, and now the onus is on the batters to put a total and put South Africa out of the game.

India and South Africa are playing a Test match, and South Africa is currently batting. Nandre Burger was trying to hit a cover drive but ended up nicking the ball to Jaiswal in the slip, and Bumrah picked up his second wicket. South Africa has lost nine wickets, and there is a 30-minute extension added to the game, which might result in South Africa getting bowled out. Ngidi has walked into the middle to face the music. Meanwhile, Mukesh picked the final wicket of Rabada, and South Africa has been bundled out for a mere 55 runs. The pitch is doing a lot, and it will be interesting to see how much South African bowlers will get out of it.

In the ongoing match, Shubman Gill was dismissed for 36 off 55 balls by Nandre Burger. He was leading the bowling charge for the hosts, and once again, it was Marco Jansen who teamed up with Burger to get an Indian wicket. Shubman Gill c Marco Jansen b Nandre Burger 36(55), and India is currently at 105-3 after 21 overs. Rohit and Co. lead South Africa by 50 runs.

Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 39 in the first innings of the 2nd Test against South Africa at Cape Town. He was hoping to improve his Test record against South Africa in the Rainbow Nation. Rohit has scored 167 runs in 11 innings against the hosts. The veteran India opener has an average of 15.18 in Test cricket in South Africa, and he also failed to better his highest score of 47 against the Proteas in South Africa.

Jasprit Bumrah has provided India with another breakthrough as he dismissed Nandre Burger for 4. The ball hit the thick edge of the bat, and Yashasvi Jaiswal made no mistake and took a brilliant catch. It's the ninth wicket gone for South Africa.

Mohammed Siraj also strikes again as he now dismisses Kyle Verreynne for 15. After hitting a boundary, Verreynne tried to play a shot into the third-man region but ended up giving a catch to Shubman Gill at the slip. It's the seventh wicket gone for South Africa, and they have completely lost the track.

South Africa was bowled out for 55 in its first innings of the Cape Town Test, which is the lowest total for the Proteas since 1932. The 55-run 1st inning score is also the lowest by any team in Test cricket against India. It's also South Africa's lowest score since its readmission in Test cricket. India will start its batting innings after the Lunch break.

India vs South Africa Live Score, 2nd Test: A good catch by Shreyas Iyer as Rabada is stunned by Mukesh. The pacer gets his second too after Bumrah. A forgetful day at the office for the Proteas. Newlands is applauding pacer Siraj, who secured magical bowling figures to make sure South Africa folded for just 55 runs in 23.2 overs.

India and South Africa are currently playing the 2nd Test match. In the latest update, South Africa has lost its 8th wicket as Keshav Maharaj got out after misfiring a shot that was caught easily by mid-wicket. Bumrah made no mistake in catching it, and Maharaj was out after scoring only three runs off thirteen balls. This means that South Africa is set to post an embarrassing 1st innings total in Cape Town as they are currently at 46-8 after 20 overs.

In another update, Stand-in skipper Dean Elgar became the fourth South African batter after AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, and Jacques Kallis to score 1,000 runs in Test cricket against India. However, he was under pressure in the first session as Siraj was targeting the stumps, and Rohit was spot on with the field. Shastri said that Elgar was telling Siraj where he wanted him to bowl moments before India bagged its second wicket as Elgar was bowled out by Siraj on the third ball of the 5th over. This was a big wicket for India as the Proteas lost their skipper.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the second and final Test match between India and South Africa, taking place in Cape Town. South Africa currently leads the series 1-0 after their dominant win over India by an innings and 32 runs at Centurion. They will be hoping to secure a clean sweep and give their stand-in skipper, Dean Elgar, a fitting farewell. India, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back and level the series. However, this will be an uphill task, as they have lost four out of six games they have played at this venue. The match dynamics have shifted in India's favor, leaving South Africa with the challenging task of making a comeback in the following days.
