New Zealand and Pakistan in the 3rd T20 International, Finn Allen etched his name in the annals of cricket history with a breathtaking display of power-hitting, smashing a record-equalling 16 sixes in a single innings. The picturesque stadium witnessed an electrifying atmosphere as the dynamic Kiwi batsman left the cricketing world in awe.

Finn Allen performs exceptionally, equaling a world record by hitting 16 sixes in men's T20I internationals. He scored a remarkable 137 runs from 62 balls, setting a new record for the highest score by a New Zealander in a T20 international, surpassing Brendon McCullum's previous record of 123 against Bangladesh in 2012. This feat also matched Hazratullah Zazai's record for the most sixes in a T20I innings.

New Zealand, buoyed by Allen's explosive performance, posted a formidable total of 224/7 in 20 overs. Tim Seifert contributed 31 runs (23 balls), which was the second-highest in a lineup dominated by Allen's brilliance. New Zealand won by 45 runs as Pakistan could only manage 179/7 in their allotted 20 overs, with Babar Azam top-scoring with 58 runs.

Despite the early departure of fellow opener Devon Conway, who fell victim to Haris Rauf after the hosts chose to bat, New Zealand accelerated to 67/1 in the Powerplay. Rauf, despite taking two wickets, couldn't contain the onslaught, conceding 60 runs in his spell of four overs. The other Pakistani bowlers struggled to stifle the Kiwi batsmen, with Mohammad Wasim being the most economical, finishing with figures of 1/35 (4 overs).

Babar had to do most of the scoring without much help from the other end while trying to keep up with a high asking rate. Unfortunately, Saim Ayub got out to Tim Southee again after misjudging his slower ball. Babar and Rizwan managed to keep the chase going, even after Azam's two powerful sixes gave Pakistan a glimmer of hope, putting on 39 off 28 for the second wicket to keep the run rate above eight runs an over. However, when Santner threw one wide of the crease after seeing Rizwan charge, Seifert completed the stumping, which hurt Pakistan's chances.

Babar was playing well once again and scored his third successive half-century in this series. However, despite his efforts, wickets kept falling around him with Fakhar Zaman (19), Azam Khan (10), and Iftikhar Ahmed (1) failing to make much of an impact on the scoreboard. As the required run rate kept climbing, Babar tried to accelerate the scoring and ended up losing his wicket to spinner Ish Sodhi in the 16th over. He departed after scoring 58 runs off 37 deliveries, hitting eight boundaries and a single six.

Mohammad Nawaz and Shaheen Shah Afridi played well towards the end of their innings, scoring 28 runs off 15 balls and 16 runs off 11 balls, respectively. However, they couldn't lead their team to victory. The visitors managed to score 179 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs, falling short of the target by 45 runs.

The record-breaking innings had a significant impact on the match's outcome. New Zealand posted a mammoth total that seemed impossible to chase by the Pakistani team.
