"Pariksha Pe Charcha" is an annual event in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages in a live conversation with students, parents, and teachers to discuss various aspects of the exams, stress, and competition. The term "Pariksha Pe Charcha" translates to "Discussion on Exams." The event aims to provide a platform for the Prime Minister to interact directly with stakeholders in the education system, offering insights, guidance, and encouragement.
Over two crore students, more than 14.93 lakh teachers, and over 5.69 lakh parents have registered for the event with plate number one. The event is expected to have around 4,000 participants.
Two students and a teacher from each State and Union Territory, along with the winners of Kala Utsav, have been invited to participate in the event with plate number one. Moreover, 100 students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) will attend the PPC event for the first time.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of prioritizing health and well-being, in addition to academic preparation. He advised students to ensure they get sufficient sleep, highlighting the essential connection between a healthy body and a healthy mind.
"This event is gaining popularity. The new generation enjoys it, and the students are enthusiastic about watching it. PM Modi keeps himself updated and explains in simple language. This has become a national forum for students to de-stress," he added.
Meanwhile, responding to the controversy around
de-reservation in faculty appointments, Union Education Minister Dharmendra
Pradhan said that the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in
Teachers' Cadre) Act 2019 leaves no room for ambiguity in faculty appointments
and no faculty seat can be de-reserved by any institute.
At times children take pressure on themselves that they
are not performing up to the mark. I suggest that you should set small goals
during preparation and gradually improve your performance, this way you will be
completely ready before the exams."
“Not only mobile but excess of anything...doesn't do anyone any good. There should be a standard for everything, it has a basis. It is very important to have discretion about how much of anything should be used. We should not run away from technology, but should use it positively."
The event aims to foster interaction between teachers and students, providing them with an opportunity to meet and communicate with Prime Minister Modi. The main focus of the event is to promote the overall development of students. During the event, the PM shares valuable tips on how to tackle board exams and entrance exams without feeling stressed.
By advocating for a positive and well-balanced approach towards exams, the Prime Minister intends to encourage students to confront challenges with self-assurance and resilience.
